P965K shabu, gun seized from drug pusher, helper in Rizal

Shabu worth P965,600 and a firearm were confiscated from two men during a buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal on Wednesday night, June 18.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspects as “Otto,” 35, tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) and drug pusher, and “Totoy,” 33, a helper, and listed as a street-level individual drug user.

They were arrested following intensive surveillance and an operation conducted by the Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station in Barangay San Isidro.

Confiscated from them were eight sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 142 grams, a P1,000 buy-bust money, a digital weighing scale, and a sling bag.

Authorities also recovered a Magnum .22 Black Widow pistol and four rounds of ammunition from Otto.

The arrested suspects are currently detained at the Rodriguez Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
