A 56-year-old man was arrested for raping and drugging a 23-year-old person with disability (PWD) in Antipolo City, Rizal in December last year, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said.
The suspect was identified as Gobito, a resident of Barangay San Luis. He is tagged as a regional level most wanted person by the police.
Rizal PPO chief Col. Felipe Maraggun said the suspect was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of rape without recommended bail on June 18.
Based on the police report, the victim was on her way home from church when she was forcefully dragged by the suspect and brought to his home.
This caused Gobito to stop assaulting the girl and threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to the police.
She told her mother about the incident a few days later and was taken to the hospital for a medico-legal examination.
The girl's family decided to file charges against Gobito which led to his arrest.
He was placed under the custody of the CIDG Rizal Custodial Facility.
