Iloilo cops net 2 wanted fugitives

ILOILO CITY – Two of the most wanted fugitives in Iloilo province were caught in separate operations in Cebu province and General Santos City this week.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) confirmed the arrest of alias “Julie” and “Del” who are both Top 5 most wanted criminals.

The 30-year-old Julie was nabbed in Talisay City, Cebu last June 17 for rape in Oton town last year.

The Tigbauan Municipal Police Station (MPS) worked with Talisay City police to track him down.

The 59-year-old Del was apprehended a day after in General Santos City. He is facing charges of rape by carnal knowledge and acts of lasciviousness of a child in Balasan. The Balasan MPS worked with the General Santos City to capture him.

Police Col. Roland Bulalacao, IPPO director, lauded the Tigbauan and Balasan MPs for capturing the fugitives.

The suspects were transported back to Iloilo and turned over to the courts.
