It was supposed to be a big and pleasant transformation that she has long dreamed of and saved for— until she herself was surprised with the outcome, well, not much of a shocking but more of a disappointing way.
And hell, indeed hath also no fury like a woman with a wrong nose job, as it prompted her to seek the assistance of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) which immediately mapped out an entrapment that led to the arrest of two fake Vietnamese doctors in Makati City.
Police Col. Marlon Quimno, director of the CIDG-National Capital Region, said the operation stemmed from the complaint of a woman who was disappointed with the outcome of the nose lift through Korean filler performed by the two doctors in a clinic located in Bel-Air Village in Makati City.
“She complained that the nose lift was not the way she expected it to be, that’s why she requested for our assistance. We went back to have them correct the procedure but it was part of our operation,” said Quimno.
After the procedure was done, CIDG operatives went in and announced the arrest of female Vietnamese “Nguyen” and male Vietnamese “Phuong” for alleged illegal practice of medicine.
Quimno said the two Vietnamese appeared to have been illegally practicing medicine in the country as revealed by the receipts they confiscated during the operation on June 16.
“They are not doctors, they are not also medical technologists or whatever. But probably they do their nose lift procedure well and they probably learned that from their friends,” said Quimno.
He said one of the reasons why many Filipino clients sought their service since the two Vietnamese are good-looking.
Quimno said the suspects are now under their custody and facing cases in relation to violation of the Republic Act 4224, or the Medical Act of 1959.
He said they are also coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration in relation to the case of the arrested Vietnamese.
