TNT rides Pogoy's hot hands, keeps Grand Slam bid alive

Pogoy pumped life to the flickering hopes of the Tropang Giga who battled back from 13 points down before he put up a huge defensive stand in the final 3.2 seconds when he swiped the ball from Zav Lucero's hands twice to prevent the Hotshots from getting a clear shot at the basket.
With the win, TNT forced a do-or-die match on Saturday, June 20.
Calvin Oftana provided support to Pogoy with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds while Jordan Heading chipped in 10. Kelly Williams and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser had 12 and 10, respectively, but none bigger than their back-to-back triples late that gave TNT an 88-81 lead.
The Hotshots, however, refused to wave the white flag just yet as a Rome Dela Rosa trey and a Paul Lee four from way out tied the game 88-all with 37.4 seconds left.
Williams was then fouled off a scramble for the rebound play, giving TNT a precarious 89-88 lead with 6.8 seconds left. Magnolia went to Lucero on the post against Pogoy but the veteran guard bothered him just enough to prevent him from taking a shot.
Lee paced Magnolia with 15 points while Lucero and William Navarro had 14 each as the Hotshots get another shot at eliminating TNT in Game 2.
