Bohol-Panglao Airport operation turned over to Aboitiz
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) handed over the operations and management of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) to Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) on Monday, June 16.
In a statement, the CAAP said the turnover is expected to significantly boost the airport’s annual passenger capacity to up to 3.9 million.
It said it will address the growing demand for air travel and tourism in Bohol and surrounding provinces.
The CAAP, however, said will provide regulatory oversight and technical expertise.
