CAMP ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police Regional Office-2 Director Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. said the opening of classes in Cagayan Valley on Monday was generally peaceful.
Marallag said 3,879 PRO-2 personnel were strategically deployed in 2,418 public schools and 217 private schools across the region to ensure public safety and maintain order.
Eighty-eight Police Assistance Desks (PADs) were established in school zones and transport hubs while mobile and foot patrols were conducted in coordination with local authorities and educational institutions.
He lauded the commitment of all PRO-2 personnel on duty.
“The peaceful resumption of classes reflects the effectiveness of our deployment strategy and the strong collaboration among the PNP, schools, LGUs, and the community. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to a safe and secure Balik-Eskwela 2025. Let us continue working together to protect our children’s future,” said Marallag.
He assured the public that security efforts will continue throughout the school year to ensure uninterrupted learning in a safe environment.
