Man arrested for hacking construction worker in Malabon

Barangay officials and members of Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) Sub-station 7 arrested a man who hacked a 38-year-old construction worker in Barangay Hulong Duhat, Malabon City on Monday, June 16.

Police identified the suspect as “Jun,” 33. 
Authorities said the incident happened around 1 a.m.
Responding officers saw the bloodied victim running and shouting for help while being chased by the suspect armed with a butcher knife.
The victim was immediately rushed to Tondo Medical Center for treatment.
The arrested suspect will face charges of attempted homicide under Batas Pambansa Blg. 6, illegal possession of deadly weapons, and alarm and scandal.
