An 18-year-old man was arrested by police officers on Tuesday, June 17, for brandishing a jungle knife in public.
The Malate Police Station 9 of the Manila Police District identified the suspect as Choy Andrew Rosal.
He was apprehended around noon at the corner of C. Ayala Street and Camachille Street, Barangay 761, near De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
According to the police report, the suspect is a known member of the Commando Gang.

Security guards in the area alerted patrolling officers, who immediately responded.
Authorities recovered from Rosal a jungle knife measuring approximately 11.5 inches in length, including the handle.
The suspect, a resident of No. 1284 Tuazon Street, Barangay 737, Malate, Manila, was brought to the station at around 12:30 p.m.. He is currently being processed for inquest proceedings at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
He faces charges for violating Section 864-C of the Revised Ordinance (Concealing a Bladed Weapon).
