“Alon,” the debut single of Filipino solo artist JL Gaspar, who is part of upcoming K-pop boy band AHOF, has been chosen as the theme song of the Tagalog-dubbed version of the hit Korean drama “The Lovely Runner.”
Gaspar was a former member of P-pop boy band PLUUS and will be debuting in AHOF in South Korea in July.
“Alon” is a pop ballad that complements the drama’s themes of love, fate, and second chances.
The series, starring Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok, captured the attention of audiences in different countries.

JL’s solo release comes on the heels of his victory in the Korean survival show “Universe League,” where he earned a coveted spot in AHOF. He is also the newly named honorary ambassador for I Like It Korea Milk, and met fans at Robinsons Magnolia last June 14.
Both the song “Alon” and its official music video are available on Universal Records’ YouTube channel. The track is also streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms.
Byeon Woo-seok, meanwhile, is also scheduled to visit Manila for a fan meeting on July 19.
“The Lovely Runner” will premiere on GMA at 5:10 p.m. on June 23.
