Adiong belies VP Duterte's claim that House members didn't read impeachment complaint

​There is no truth to the fresh claim made by impeached Vice President Sara Duterte that House members did not even read the articles of impeachment against her before they signed it.
According to Lanao del Sur 1st district Rep. Zia Adiong, a vocal critic of the Vice President, each of the members of the House of Representatives was given time to read, comprehend, and appreciate the complaint before they were asked to sign.
That's also the reason why it took time for the House of Representatives to transmit to the Senate the impeachment complaint, which is actually the consolidation of the three previous complaints filed before the lower chamber, he added.

A day prior, the Vice President alleged that the 215 congressmen who signed the complaint did not even read the articles of impeachment.

Adiong maintained that the congressmen willingly and voluntarily affixed theirmsignatures to support the impeachment process.
House members who were non-lawyers such as himself even consulted with their legal consultants to understand and appreciate the impeachment complaint, he added.
