A green sanctuary grows in the South
Megaworld's Arden Botanical Village promises an idyllic residential enclave close to nature
With 90 percent of lots sold out, future residents of Arden Botanical Village are looking forward to spending better and longer lives in a residential development connected to nature and community.
Arden Botanical Village is purposely designed to retain and preserve the natural beauty and landscape of Cavite, where man-made structures are meant to blend in harmony with the existing ecosystem, which promotes longevity and sustainable living.
Located on the boundary between Trece Martires City and the municipality of Tanza, the upscale residential property is approximately 60 minutes away from NAIA, 70 minutes away from Makati via Skyway, and 85 minutes from BGC via SLEX.

The 18.1-hectare Arden Botanical Village has 329 residential lots, with sizes ranging from 280 to 609 sqm, spread over an 11.6-hectare saleable area. For a low-density housing plan, each hectare is divided into 18 lots. Open spaces occupy 40 percent of the total land area, with 20 percent dedicated to green spaces and water features.
The village is masterplanned by Architect Paulo G. Alcazaren, who is known for his advocacy of heritage conservation with public parks and open spaces. As an experienced design consultant, Alcazaren’s work earned him several design awards from the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects, the Kuala Lumpur City Council, and the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects.
For this development project, Alcazaren chose Scandinavian architecture for its modern, simple, minimalist, and functional design. Its shapes and clean lines keep structures functional yet beautiful.
Arden Botanical Village clubhouse and pool
He placed Centrera Park at the middle of the property, anchoring the village’s intention to provide opportunities and space for healthy living and wellness. The nature-integrated pools for kids and adults, promenade, landscaped walkways, and jogging paths promote mobility and fitness. The benches, modern treehouses, and open grounds are available for community engagement and socials to encourage residents to meet up and interact daily.
The park also hosts the clubhouse with a spacious lobby, function hall, meeting rooms, fitness gym, and indoor children’s playground. Its Scandinavian design with a touch of tropical flair is applied to the organic-shaped furniture, bamboo accents, cozy textiles, and woven rattan. On each floor, the large windows bring in the outdoors, natural light, and a breezy atmosphere.
Centrera Park, where residents meet and mingle close to nature
The residential area is also dotted with creeks, natural waterways, and a man-made river as part of its natural attributes. “We have the water features, walkways, meditation areas, and jogging paths because we wanted the residents to come out of their homes. We want to see kids go down and play in the rivers, it's something different they should experience. That’s the vision,” said Eugene Lozano, head of Sales & Marketing, Megaworld Cavite.
Other amenities include a covered play court, multi-purpose area, toddler mounds, trampoline park, dog park, and outdoor playground.
The features and amenities of the village make it unique and a first of its kind. It's called Arden Botanical Village because we want to maintain the botanicals and the natural features of the entire area. We call it a blue zone. With its natural forests and terrain, it actually promotes longevity among residents, said Harold Geronimo, Megaworld Corporation’s head of Public Relations and Media Affairs.
The modern treehouse and playground
First used by author Dan Buettner, the Blue Zone is a non-scientific term used to describe geographic areas with residents experiencing lower rates of chronic diseases and longer life expectancy. While genetics plays a major role in longevity, so do environmental factors such as diet and lifestyle.
Residents in the blue zones live on whole plant food diets, exercise as part of their daily routine, and have adequate rest and sleep. In addition, their communities foster purposeful living, multi-generational families, and an active social support and network.
The Arden Botanical Village sits inside the 251-hectare Arden Botanical Estate owned by Megaworld Corporation.
The pool area for kids and adults
As the 25th Megaworld integrated urban township, the P18 billion project is the country’s first botanical-themed development. Its lush green environment will feature tree-lined roads, flower farms and tunnels, a lotus pond, a water feature, a welcome pavilion, a breathing chapel, and “The Little Botanist” garden where children can play among plants and trees.
Within 15 years, the estate will be developing residential subdivisions, mixed-use commercial lots, a commercial hub, and recreational and institutional areas, with green and open spaces.
