Quad-comm co-chairman Fernandez asks Pinoys to pray for Israel, Iran

Outgoing Santa Rosa City lone district Rep. Dan Fernandez has called on Filipinos to pray for Israel and Iran amid the worrisome renewal of conflict between the two nations.

The co-chairman of the vaunted House quad-committee (quad-comm)--apparently shaken by the brewing events in the Middle East--took to Facebook on Sunday night, June 15 to share his feelings.

Lets all pray for the people of Israel and Iran, Fernandez wrote.

He said the situation involving Iran, Israel and regional conflicts was complex and sensitive, since it involves political, religious and geopolitical factors.

Sad to watch coz these conflicts often lead suffering, loss of life, displacement of families and destruction of communities. But i know peace will be eventually restored in His time, Fernandez said.

Fernandez chaired the House Committee on Public Order and Safety--one of the four panels that comprised the quad-comm--during the just-concluded 19th Congress.
