Classes in San Francisco High School in Quezon City were held in the school’s covered court on Monday, June 16, after a fire destroyed the school's more than 20 classrooms.
Schools Division Superintendent. Dr. Carleen Sedilla said 16 sections from the morning and afternoon shifts were affected by the fire.
A total of 300 students in the morning session are currently using the covered court.
The building, originally intended for other purposes, is being repurposed to serve as temporary classrooms.
San Francisco High School has 6,000 to 7,000 students for school year 2025-2026.
The fire that razed the school building on Sunday, June 15, reached the 3rd alarm, and destroyed two floors of the school's central building, including the library and social hall.
