Deaf construction worker hurt in Dasma barracks hold-up

- A deaf construction worker was shot after failing to respond to armed robbers who barged into a Dasmariñas construction barracks and fled with valuables.
CAVITE – A deaf man sustained gunshot wounds in a robbery incident at a construction site in Barangay Paliparan 3 in Dasmariñas City on Sunday, June 15.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) said the deaf construction worker, a backhoe operator, and a woman were inside the barracks of a construction site when the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m.
Four male suspects wearing jackets and bonnets reportedly entered the barracks, with two of them brandishing firearms and declaring a hold-up.
Unable to hear the suspects, the deaf victim turned around, prompting one of the gunmen to shoot him.
The suspects took the victims' money and gadgets before fleeing.
The deaf construction worker sustained gunshot wounds to the chin and biceps. He was rushed to the hospital by the two other victims.
Police are now investigating the incident.
