Classes in public schools in Muntinlupa City opened on Monday, June 16, with the city government deploying personnel to assist students.
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited public schools to assess the opening of classes and talk to students and teachers.
During the flag raising ceremony, Dr. Violeta M. Gonzales, officer-in-charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, said, “Work with me in serving Muntinlupeño learners. They deserve nothing short of top-tier education. Together, we can make that happen.”
Visiting Muntinlupa was the Department of Education-National Capital Region’s Regional Monitoring Team led by Dr. Connie Gepanayao and Dr. Merlino Mateo.
Personnel from the city government’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) are roving near schools to ensure the security of students.
The Muntinlupa police and City Security Office were deployed to ensure order outside schools.
Traffic enforcers from the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau were tasked to manage traffic on roads leading to public schools.
The Muntinlupa Department of Disaster Resilience and Management sent medical personnel to schools to respond to any emergency.
