Cops on monitoring duty nab drug suspect, seize P300K shabu in Antipolo

As part of the Rizal Police Provincial Office’s ongoing anti-illegal drug campaign, a drug suspect was arrested after being caught in the act of a shabu transaction during a monitoring operation in Antipolo City.
The Rizal PPO identified the suspect as “Putol,” 48. He was arrested by members of the City Drug Enforcement Team (CDET) of the Antipolo Component City Police Station (CCPS) while on monitoring duty in Barangay San Jose on June 13.

Authorities said they witnessed the suspect and another man, identified as “Janha,” in the middle of an actual drug transaction. However, Janha immediately fled the scene upon noticing the presence of police officers.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Antipolo CCPS and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, a follow-up operation is underway to track down and arrest Janha.
The Rizal PNP said it will remain committed to targeting individuals involved in illegal drugs to ensure peace and safety in the province.
