Las Piñas LGU holds blood donation drive to mark World Blood Donor Day

Las Piñas Mayor-elect April Aguilar joined the blood donation drive organized by the World Mission Society Church of God in line with the 1673rd Worldwide Blood Drive, held in celebration of World Blood Donor Day.

The activity was held on June 11 at the Church of God in Pamplona Tres, Las Piñas City, with participation from church members, volunteers, and local residents.

She said the event was supported by the Philippine Blood Center and the Las Piñas City Health Office to ensure safety and proper medical protocols throughout the activity.

The mayor said that with the theme “Give Life Through the Love of the Passover,” the event aimed to promote the spirit of voluntary blood donation and compassion.

Aguilar expressed her appreciation for the Church of God’s consistent efforts to support public health, especially through community-based initiatives.

She also recognized the volunteers and donors who participated in the drive, noting their contribution to saving lives and strengthening the city’s blood supply reserves.

The organizer expressed their gratitude for the local government’s support and affirmed their continued commitment to hosting similar humanitarian programs in the city.
