BACOLOD CITY – A 25-year-old choreographer was killed and his female companion was injured after their motorcycle crashed into an 18-wheel truck in Hacienda Guicay, Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental on Friday the 13th.
The fatality was identified as Rolando, a resident of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, who had just graduated from the Colegio Santa Ana de Victorias Inc. in Victorias City, Negros Occidental last month.
Injured was 18-year-old Janice, a resident of Barangay Santa Teresa, Manapla.
Investigation said Rolando was driving the motorcycle fast and in a zigzag motion from Manapla to Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Rolando lost control of the motorcycle that hit the truck driven by a 39-year-old resident of Dauis, Bohol, on the way to Victorias City.
The truck allegedly ran over the motorcycle and seriously injured the victims.
Rolando was declared dead in a hospital while Janice is in critical condition.
Police are awaiting the victims’ families decision if they will file a case against the truck driver.
