Taguig police arrest No. 1 most wanted person in NCR for murder

The Taguig police arrested a man tagged as the No. 1 most wanted person in the National Capital Region (NCR) for murder.
The accused was identified as alias Gerardo, 30, a resident of South Signal, Taguig, was nabbed on June 12 at Triumph at FTI in Barangay Western Bicutan through a joint operation by the Taguig police’s Warrant and Subpoena, and Intelligence Sections.
Gerardo is wanted for murder in relation to Republic Act 10591 (illegal possession of firearms) under a criminal case.
The warrant of arrest with no bail recommended was issued on May 2 by acting Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 266.
Intelligence also identified the suspect as a member of a notorious carnapping group behind a string of carnapping cases across Metro Manila during the second quarter of 2025.
The accused is now detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility pending the return of the warrant of arrest to the court.
Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, acting district director of the Southern Police District, lauded the Taguig police for the arrest.
