'Will you give up the crown for love?' Binibining Pilipinas candidate answers sweet question

Ahead of the 2025 Binibining Pilipinas grand coronation night, the candidates participated in an enjoyable Q&A session with members of the entertainment press at Ibis Styles Manila in Araneta City recently.
The excitement filled their discussions, covering topics such as advocacy, activism, dating, politics, history, and the ups and downs of being in a relationship.
Members of the showbiz media would pick a name from the bowl and ask the candidate a question on any topic.
Francesca Beatriz Alvalajon, 22, from Aklan, was asked a hypothetical question about choosing between love and a crown.Her question: "Supposing one week after you won the pageant title, your millionaire boyfriend of five years asked you to give up your crown and marry him. What will you do?"
Francesca answered: "The Binibining Pilipinas crown is priceless, and no P5 million could ever buy that. With the crown, I can fulfill my purpose and achieve my dreams. Love is everywhere. It comes from these girls (Binibini candidates), my family, and friends. With that, I could live every day."
On the other hand, Jenesse Viktoria Mejia, 24, from Pangasinan, was asked to choose among being super attractive, intelligent, or wealthy.
"I would choose to be wealthy because there are so many people that I want to help. I've seen the faces of poor children, and I grew up with them. I've been involved in the youth ministry for a long time. I can see sadness in their eyes, especially when they go hungry. They say money can cause power. However, the truth is that it helps more people. The only way for me to give more is to have more wealth, so that I can pay it forward and help others," said Jenesse.
The event was held in partnership with My Daily Collagen, one of the sponsors of the Binibining Pilipinas 2025 pageant. Also in attendance were Anna Perez, president and chief executive officer of My Daily Collagen, and Oliver Salas, Chief Sales Officer, My Daily Collagen.
The grand coronation of the 2025 Binibining Pilipinas will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, on Sunday, June 15.
Thirty-six candidates are competing for the title. The winners will represent the country in the Miss International and Miss Globe beauty pageants.
