"The Clash" returns to GMA Network with hosts Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. Joining the judges' table are Lani Misalucha, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Christian Bautista.
During a media conference for the popular singing contest at the Luxent Hotel, Rayver offered his unsolicited advice to aspiring contestants who wish to pursue a career in show business. The dancer-singer emphasized that success does not come easily and that there are no shortcuts to achieving it.

"Kung ano man ang pinupursue natin sa buhay, walang shortcut yan. Walang shortcut to success at pinaghihirapan yan. (Whatever we pursue in life, there is no shortcut. There is no shortcut to success, and it takes hard work.)"
"Kung music talaga ang calling at nakikita ko naman na yun talaga, dapat nilang ipamalas ang galing nila. So siguro pwede nating simulan sa 'The Clash' and after that, kung saan man nila gustong sumabak. (Kung gusto nilang mag-artista okay lang naman. What's important is consistency. "If music is really their calling and I can see that it is, they should show off their talent. So maybe we can start with 'The Clash' and after that, wherever they want to go. If they want to be artists, that's okay. What's important is consistency)," Rayver said.
Rayver stated that being selected as a contestant for "The Clash" is already a victory in itself. "If they want to be a singer, kumanta lang sila ng kumanta. Unique ang voice nila. Makuha ka lang sa online audition, kahit papaano panalo ka na. (If they want to be a singer, they just sing and sing. Their voices are unique. Being selected during the online audition feels like winning.)"

"Ang daming sumasali. So win or lose, makasama ka lang dito sa 'The Clash,' parang panalo ka na. Then ituloy-tuloy mo lang yun, dahil good experience naman dito. (There are so many people joining. So win or lose, just being here on 'The Clash,' feels like you've already won. Then keep doing it, because it's a good experience being here.)"
"Music is timeless. Kahit na ano ang age mo, basta hilig mo talaga ang music, magaling kang mag-express ng sarili mo through music, malayo ang mararating mo. (No matter what your age, as long as you really love music, you're good at expressing yourself through music, you can go far)," the host added.
