Korean police arrested a Chinese woman in her 30s who attempted to break into the home of K-pop idol group BTS member Jungkook on the day of his discharge on June 11.
The Yongsan police in Seoul are investigating the woman who attempted the home invasion, Korean media reported.
The woman was arrested by the police who responded to a report after she went to Jungkook’s residence in the affluent Yongsan District in Seoul at 11:20 p.m. on June 11 and repeatedly pressed the keypad to enter the password at the front door.
She reportedly told the police that she "came to Korea to see Jungkook, who had just been discharged from the military."
The police are investigating the details of the incident.
Jungkook and Jimin were discharged from the military on June 11 after fulfilling their mandatory duty for 18 months. They enlisted on Dec. 12, 2023.
On June 10, BTS’ RM and V were discharged. Suga is the only remaining member of BTS to be discharged, which is set on June 21.
