The city government of Pasay City announced its receipt of an unmodified opinion from the Commission of Audit (COA) for the second straight year for presenting its financial statement fairly and by accounting standards.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government passed the COA’s unmodified opinion for the year 2024. It was first earned in 2023.
Rubiano said the unmodified opinion is the highest rating that every local government unit can receive from COA, indicating that its financial statements are presented fairly and in accordance with accounting standards.
She said earning the unmodified opinion only showed that the city government follows the standards or complies with the laws, rules, and regulations set by COA on transparent, fair financial management, and reporting.
The mayor also said the city was the first in the National Capital Region (NCR) to submit the city government assessment and reports to the COA Pasay Field Office.
Rubiano said the achievement received by the city government was made through the help and coordinated efforts of city officials and employees in working for the “Tapat at Higit pa sa Sapat na Paglilingkod.”
