CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police in Zambales seized P5-million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value individual during a buy-bust operation, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) said.
The Independence Day operation was conducted in Barangay Linasin in San Marcelino town by the Zambales Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the San Marcelino Municipal Police Station.
Seized from the suspect was approximately 755 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P5,134,000.
"This significant drug bust is a crucial step in curbing the spread of addiction and crime in our region. We will not allow illegal drugs to destroy the future of our people," PRO-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said.
The suspect is in the custody of the San Marcelino police and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (with PNA)
