With the theme “Your World of Gin Experience,” the event adopted an aviation-inspired narrative, guiding guests through a series of themed zones designed to reflect various aspects of gin’s character: Cool, Clear, and Versatile.
“This year’s key message was evident: ‘The Philippines celebrates World Gin Day. And on this day and always, Gin Is In,’” GSMI noted during the program.
A global journey through gin
The experience began in the “Cool Botanica” zone, a garden-inspired walkthrough where guests interacted with core gin ingredients such as juniper berries. The space highlighted the freshness and craft behind the spirit.
Next, the “Clear Archives” exhibit recreated a traditional London pub atmosphere, offering a historical look at gin’s European roots and its rise in the Philippines. Featured products included 1834 Premium Distilled Gin and Archangel Reserve Premium Dry Gin.
The journey concluded at the “Versatile Bar & Lounge,” where bartenders from the GSM Bar Academy served cocktails inspired by different countries, including the Singapore Sling, Negroni, and Pearl of the Orient. Brands such as GSM Blue, Archangel Reserve, and Ginebra San Miguel Bilog were featured in the cocktail line-up.
A three-part celebration
The event unfolded in three chapters. The first, “World of Adventure – Gin is Cool,” featured personality Boss Toyo, who explored what makes gin a confident and stylish spirit. Guests sampled cocktails from roving Gin Carts.
In the second chapter, “World of Excellence – Gin is Clear,” Atty. Oliver Moeller discussed the gin distillation process and GSMI’s international accolades, including seven consecutive Gold Quality Seals from Monde Selection in Belgium. Industry testimonials further highlighted the brand’s global reach.
The final chapter, “World of Celebration – Gin is Versatile,” featured actress and singer Mikee Quintos and “Limitless” star Julie Anne San Jose. They discussed gin’s adaptability and personal cocktail favorites. Quintos emphasized gin’s flexibility: “Gin suits every lifestyle.” San Jose added, “Gin is Cool, Gin is Clear, Gin is Versatile.”
GSM Blue endorser Gabbi Garcia joined the celebration with a live performance, while guests participated in gin trivia games leading up to a ceremonial toast.
Global recognition and local pride
World Gin Day 2025 underscored GSMI’s expanding global presence. International interest in brands like Gin Bilog and Kwatro Kantos continues to grow, while premium labels such as 1834 Premium Distilled Gin are gaining traction abroad.
Emma Stokes, Global World Gin Day Ambassador, emphasized the Philippines' role in the global celebration. “From Brussels to Bangkok, gin lovers are discovering what Filipinos have always known—Ginebra is a world-class spirit,” Stokes said.
The evening concluded with a toast led by GSMI General Manager Cynthia M. Baroy, company executives, and brand ambassadors. “Each bottle represents generations of craft, innovation, and heart,” GSMI said. “As it continues to gain recognition abroad, it also elevates the Filipino identity globally.”
A closing performance by GSMI endorser Nik Makino brought the celebration to a high-energy finish.
Whether for seasoned enthusiasts or curious newcomers, World Gin Day 2025 reaffirmed gin as more than a beverage—it’s a cultural journey that begins in the Philippines and reaches across the world.
