Drug suspect nabbed in Las Pinas buy-bust

A 19-year-old drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation by members of the Las Pinas Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on June 10.

Col. Sandro Tafalla, Las Piñas Police chief, said the suspect, identified as “Boss,” from Bacoor, Cavite, was arrested at around 4:25 p.m. in Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said members from the PDEA, in coordination with SDEU operatives, conducted the operation against "Boss" who is notorious for his illegal drugs activities.

He said "Boss" was caught handing over the illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer. Confiscated from him were 27.33 grams of shabu worth P185,844, the marked money used in the transaction, and a coin purse where the suspect hid all the items.

The suspect was detained at the Las Pinas Police custodial facility and charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
