Shabu seized in QC buy-bust operation

Operatives of the Quezon City Police District recovered shabu during a buy-bust operation along University Avenue corner Manatili Area, Maayusin Extension, Barangay San Vicente, Quezon City on Tuesday, June 11.

According to the police, the suspect was identified as alias “Alberto”, 56, a resident of Barangay San Vicente.

The District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR), conducted the operation at around 5:45 p.m.

During the operation, an undercover police officer acted as a poseur buyer and bought P35,000 worth of suspected shabu from the suspect which led to his arrest.

Authorities recovered from the suspect around 52.1 grams of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money.

Verification through the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) system showed that the suspect had previous records for similar violations in March and July 2021.

The suspect will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
