- The Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal is observed annually to celebrate the creation of the province on June 11, 1901 by the Philippine Commission.
Simultaneous cleaning and greening activities, from the mountains to the waters, marked the observance of the 124th Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal in Rizal Province on June 11.
Leading the pro-environment activities were Rizal Governor Nina Ricci Ynares and other local government officials and employees, local chief executives, division chiefs, and workers of the 14 local government units in the province.
The clean-up activities, which were also participated in by personnel from various government agencies, are part of the pro-environment initiatives of the provincial government, including the Ynares to Eco System to Green Program (YES) and the Oplan Busilak (Buhayin Sapa, Ilog Lawa at Karagatan) in line with the cleaning and greening programs of the national government.
In Binangonan, local officials, including Mayor Cesar Ynares, incoming Vice Mayor Russel Ynares and other officials and employees of the Binangonan Provincial Government rallied residents, village leaders, and volunteers to join the clean-up and greening activities in their municipalities.
