BACOLOD CITY – A 27-year-old call center agent was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Barangay Singcang-Airport here on Tuesday, June 10.
Police identified the fatality as Tricia Ann, a resident of Barangay Pahanocoy here.
Police Executive Master Sgt. Rodney Tiania, deputy chief of the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), said the victim was on her way to work and the back rider of a motorcycle driven by her 28-year-old live-in partner, McKevin, when he lost control due to slippery road caused by a downpour.

McKevin sprawled on the road and Tricia Ann was thrown to the opposite lane and was run over by an oncoming pickup truck.
She died on the spot while her partner sustained minor injuries.
McKevin was said to be driving the motorcycle fast when the accident happened.
Tiania said they are tracking the vehicle but failed to get the license plate due to unclear footage from closed circuit television cameras from nearby establishments.
Despite this, he said they are optimistic that they can eventually track the vehicle and identify the driver as they have deployed additional traffic investigators to assist in the investigation.
Tiania urged the driver to surrender to give justice to the victim. The victim's family also appealed to the driver to turn himself in and give justice to Tricia Ann.
