This is higher than the 14 quakes recorded the previous day.
The agency also reported that voluminous emission was observed from the volcano before drifting northeast.
Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emission was last measured at 163 tons on June 9.
In addition, the volcano’s edifice remains inflated, indicating continued abnormal activity.
Bulusan Volcano remains under Alert Level 1, which signifies low-level unrest.
Phivolcs warned the public against entry into the four-kilometer permanent danger zone, as well as venturing into the extended danger zone without vigilance, due to the possibility of sudden steam-driven or phreatic eruptions.
Phreatic eruptions were last recorded on April 28 and 29.
