The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested three female suspects for theft in an anti-criminality operation conducted by the District Traffic Enforcement Unit (DTEU) on Monday, June 9.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Cristina,” 42, alias “Mary Ann,” 39, both residents of Barangay Minuyan, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and alias “Elizabeth,” 39, a resident of Camarin, Caloocan City.
Based on the police report, the incident happened around 6:45 a.m. along Don Fabian Street, at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue.
Two female individuals were waiting for a public utility jeepney bound for Philcoa when the suspects allegedly stole their mobile phones. The victims noticed the incident and, with the help of bystanders, confronted the suspects.
Personnel from Traffic Sector 5 of the DTEU immediately responded to the incident that led to the arrest of the suspects.
The stolen items, a Samsung Galaxy A06 and an Oppo A15, were recovered from the suspects.
According to the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) system, alias “Mary Ann” had previous cases involving illegal gambling (P.D. 1602) in August 2018, as well as theft in December 2019 and August 2023. Alias “Elizabeth” had a theft case in February 2023, while alias “Cristina” had theft cases in March 2023, December 2024, and March 2025, as well as a case for illegal gambling in April 2024.
The suspects have been charged with theft before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
