P179-M floating shabu recovered in West Philippine Sea in Ilocos Sur
The latest was one white sack containing 25 packs discovered in the West Philippine Sea 20 nautical miles south of Barangay Puro, Magsingal on Monday, June 9.

Twenty-two yellow and orange packs had the markings “Alishan Jin Xuan Tea” three had the numbers “66.”
The contraband discovered by a fisherman and reported to the police weighed 26.345 kilos and valued at P179.1 million.
The Magsingal police led by Police Lt. Richard Pajo are conducting coastal area monitoring and dialogue with residents and fisherman of Barangay Puro as part of the intensified efforts to prevent entry of illegal drugs.
This was the second batch of floating shabu found in Ilocos Sur.
Last week, 30 packs of suspected shabu were recovered by fishermen in the WPS in the municipality of Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, 84 kilometers south of the capital city Vigan.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday, June 8, that the value of floating shabu recovered in the WPS in Luzon in the past several days has reached over P8 billion.
More than 60 sacks weighing 1.2 tons were discovered by fishermen in Pangasinan, Zambales, and Ilocos Sur as of Tuesday.
Source of the contraband was suspected to be the Chinese-run Golden Triangle syndicate.
Police said these had similar packaging and dumped at sea due to bad weather.
