The Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) has announced the return of free online Basic Japanese Language Classes.
The program began in 2019 and is part of QCPL’s efforts to promote accessible education and cross-cultural learning.
It is offered in partnership with Jellyfish Education Philippines, Inc., and is open to learners nationwide.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said the program reflects Quezon City’s broader vision to provide inclusive learning opportunities to all residents and learners across the country.
“The QCPL’s Free Online Language Class opens doors of opportunity for every QCitizen—reminding us that in Quezon City, learning knows no limits, and progress begins with knowledge,” Belmonte said.
Participants must be 18 years old or above and have access to a stable internet connection, a device, and a Zoom account.
Enrollment is free of charge and limited to the first 500 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The session will begin on June 19.
Interested participants must register via the official QCPL Facebook page.
Registrants will receive a confirmation email and must confirm their attendance within 24 hours, unconfirmed slots will be given to waitlisted participants.

A total of 172 graduates completed the course on May 22, 2025.
