Pasay City gears up for colorful LGBTQIA+ Pride Month celebration

The Pasay City government is set to celebrate LGBTIQ+ Pride Month with the "Pasay Rainbow Ball 2025” on June 27, featuring a parade and ballroom competition.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced that the celebration will kick off with a pride parade at 4:00 p.m. in Barangay 66, corner Arnaiz Avenue. It will proceed through Park Avenue and Galvez, continue along F.B. Harrison, and culminate at Derham Park near the Cuneta Astrodome. The grand ball event will follow, featuring ballroom culture.
Participation is open to all LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 18 and above. Attendees are encouraged to wear festive, glamorous, or unique costumes. To qualify for prizes, participants must complete the entire parade route.
Cash prizes will be awarded, with P10,000 cash going to the group with largest number of participants. The standout parade fashion star will take home P5,000, while the runner-up will receive P3,000.
The ballroom competition will feature five themed categories: Barbie/Ken Realness; Trolls Alert; Heat It Baby One More Time; Marites/Tolits Fantasy, and Pink Eleganza. Winners will receive cash: P30,000 for the grand champion, P20,000 for the second place, P15,000 for the third place, and P2,000 each for the best in each category.
