Newborn baby girl abandoned in jeep

BACOLOD CITY – A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a passenger jeepney in Barangay Zone 8, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday night, June 8.
She was reported on Monday morning, June 9, to the police who referred the case to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) where the infant is currently in custody.
Marichu Clavecillas, in a radio interview, said that her male friend saw the infant and informed her about the discovery.
She was taken to the Talisay City Health Office for checkup since her umbilical cord was still attached.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation to find out her parents.
