The agreement was formally signed during a ceremonial event at The Manila Hotel, attended by top hospital executives, surgeons, and key stakeholders across the MGHI network.
“This partnership opens a new era of opportunity for our doctors,” said Mr. Rhais M. Gamboa, President of Mount Grace Hospitals, Inc. “Collaborating with a globally respected institution like IRCAD reinforces our commitment to advancing surgical capabilities and investing in the professional growth of our medical teams.”
IRCAD — the Institute for Research into Cancer of the Digestive System — is headquartered in Strasbourg, France, and recognized worldwide for its excellence in surgical education. Its Taiwan extension brings cutting-edge simulation technologies and globally certified training programs to the Asia-Pacific region, aligning seamlessly with Mount Grace’s vision of continuous medical advancement.
Dr. Wayne Huang, Dean of IRCAD Taiwan, echoed the enthusiasm: “Our mission at IRCAD is to raise the standards of surgical care globally. Partnering with Mount Grace allows us to work with a hospital group that shares our dedication to innovation and physician development.”
The collaboration will provide Mount Grace surgeons with access to IRCAD’s world-class curriculum and simulation labs in Taiwan. Plans are also underway to integrate advanced surgical techniques into local hospital practices and launch future joint initiatives—including specialized training modules, research exchanges, and collaborative academic programs.
The signing ceremony concluded with a symbolic toast to the shared pursuit of innovation, excellence, and transformative impact in healthcare.
