Back-to-back 'basag-kotse' incidents recorded in Cavite
CAVITE – Authorities recorded back-to-back “basag-kotse” robbery incidents over the weekend.
In Trece Martires City, a resident of Barangay Cabuco discovered the back door of her house ajar, one of her car doors damaged, and her computer tablet missing, on Sunday, June 8.
Upon reviewing CCTV footage, authorities saw the suspect, who turned out to be the victim’s neighbor, committing the crime act on the evening of June 7, leading to his identification and arrest.
The suspect, identified by the Trece Martires Component City Police Station (CCPS) as alias Christian, is now under police custody and is facing robbery charges.
In General Trias City, meanwhile, a vehicle parked in a home improvement retailer was targeted in a robbery incident, evening on June 8.
Upon returning to their vehicle, the driver and passenger found the back windows of the vehicle broken.
The perpetrator took a laptop, a computer tablet, a cellphone, and a wallet containing P70,000, along with documents, bank cards, and identification cards.
General Trias CCPS is now investigating a person of interest who fled on a red and black motorcycle, wearing a black half-face helmet, a black jacket, and a gray backpack.
