It was in 1960 when Engineer Delfin M. Wenceslao embarked on his journey of bringing forward the urban landscape of the nation he loved by forming D. M. Wenceslao and Associates as a solo proprietorship. Five years later, in 1965, DMWAI was incorporated. Therefore, it was with great pride that DMWAI rolled out the red carpet for its stakeholders, associates, partners, clients, and friends to celebrate 60 years of engineering, construction, building, and real estate development excellence.

Held at the Solaire Resort and Casino Grand Ballroom in Parañaque City, I’m certain that it was no coincidence that the venue is a stone’s throw from Parqal Mall and Aseana Plaza, two developments that showcase how DMWAI is forward-looking and strives for excellence in every aspect of the group’s businesses. As DMW CEO Delfin “Buds” Wenceslao has remarked, “We have always envisioned Aseana City as more than just a business district. It’s a community where work, leisure, and daily life intersect… where global industry players and local communities converge.”
If there was a bittersweet note to the night, that would be how this is the first decade celebration without former chairman Delfin Wenceslao, Jr. around. He passed away in 2021 and will be remembered for his resolute leadership and commitment to helping the underprivileged. It was Delfin Jr. who took the company public in 2018, and it’s his wife, Silvia, who is the current DMWAI chairperson.
Congratulations to DMWAI on this 60th milestone!
