Liza Soberano makes ceremonial pitch in Dodgers-Mets duel

Filipina celebrity Liza Soberano delighted the crowd when she made the ceremonial pitch in the Major League Baseball (MLB) game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets recently.
The 27-year-old Soberano’s appearance was part of the celebration of Filipino Heritage Night at the Dodgers Stadium.
The likes of current baseball stars Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Pete Alonso, to name a few, were also present in the event.
“So honored to be amongst all my kababayans throwing the first pitch at the Dodgers vs. Mets' game for Filipino Heritage Night,” wrote Soberano on her Instagram post.
“I was so nervous, but I think I did okay?”
“Celebrating Filipino Heritage Night at Dodgers Stadium with Liza Soberano,” the Dodgers wrote on Instagram.
In that duel, Michael Confonto starred as the Dodgers pulled off a 6-5 escape over the Soto-led Mets to bolster their ranking in the National League West division.
