QC residents invited to enjoy 'Car-Free, Carefree Tomas Morato Sunday'

The Quezon City government is encouraging residents to participate in the “Car-free, Carefree Tomas Morato” event, held every Sunday.
From 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Tomas Morato will be closed to traffic, transforming the streets into a community hub filled with games, music, and meaningful dialogue between citizens and the local government.

On Sunday, June 8, residents are invited to join a Zumba session and enjoy classic Filipino games such as piko, dama, chess, and sungka.
The “jamming sa Morato” segment will feature live performances and cosplayers dressed as Filipino heroes.
Department of Engineering (QCDE) has set up a Maintenance & Project Management Booth, where citizens are encouraged to share suggestions for infrastructure projects that could benefit their barangays.
The booth also showcases the city’s best practices in infrastructure and asset management.
Residents are advised to bring their water tumblers, as the LGU has set up water stations throughout the venue.
The event aims to promote active mobility and create a safe, open space where residents and visitors can enjoy recreational activities.
