Truck driver in fatal QC accident tests positive for illegal drugs
The driver of a 10-wheeler truck who was involved in a deadly road accident on May 29 along Batasan-San Mateo Road, Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City, has tested positive for illegal drugs.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), alias “Eruel” underwent an alcohol breath analyzer (ABA) test and a drug test, as required by Section 7 of Republic Act No. 10586, or the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013.
The ABA test conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) yielded a negative result. However, the drug test conducted by the QCPD Forensic Unit (QCPDFU) turned out positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride, or commonly known as shabu.
