Reyes, on the other hand, is taking over as the program director for the UST women’s and girls’ volleyball teams. He is also keeping his position as coach of the Junior Tigresses.
Prior to his appointment, Delos Santos was part of Reyes’ coaching staff for the last two editions for the Tigresses.
A former national team coach, he is also the mentor for the Cignal HD Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
“Let’s continue to support the Women’s Volleyball Team as they prepare for UAAP Season 88, which UST will host,” the UST-Institute of Physical Education and Athletics wrote on a social media post.
Last season, the Tigresses made it to the Final Four before losing to the De La Salle Lady Spikers for a spot in the finals.
Next year, Delos Santos is expected to bank on veterans in Detdet Pepito, Cassie Carballo, Jonna Perdido, Angge Poyos, and Reg Jurado in their bid to bring back the Tigresses’ long-lost glory.
