  • We take a closer look at the 2025 Mitsubishi Mirage G4, featuring enhancements to the vehicle's exterior design and safety features, and new LED projector headlights and LED tail lamps.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has unveiled the refreshed, locally assembled Mirage G4 for the 2025 model year. The update features significant upgrades in style, convenience, and safety. Launched in 2013, the Mirage G4 continues to be a key model for the brand, consistently ranking among MMPC’s top sellers and appealing to first-time car buyers due to its affordability, practicality, and compact size.
The updated Mirage G4 retains its efficient 1.2-liter MIVEC gasoline engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with a five-speed manual option still available for the base variant. Mitsubishi emphasizes that this powertrain is known for its low operating costs and ease of maintenance, making it a reliable choice for everyday commutes in busy urban environments.
While the mechanical specifications remain unchanged, the 2025 updates primarily enhance the vehicle's exterior design and safety features. All variants now feature a redesigned set of machine-finished two-tone alloy wheels, which give the car a sharper and more dynamic appearance. The mid to high variants, GLX CVT and GLS CVT, also receive new LED projector headlights and LED tail lamps, enhancing visibility and providing a more modern look.
Safety features have seen substantial improvements, with Active Stability Control (ASC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) now standard across all variants. These electronic aids improve traction in wet conditions and on steep inclines, features that were previously limited to higher variants or absent in this price segment.
Inside, the Mirage G4 maintains a user-friendly layout and practical amenities, including a spacious 450-liter trunk, one of the largest in the subcompact sedan category. Higher variants come equipped with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as standard, while the top-tier GLS adds features such as a Keyless Operation System, remote trunk release, reverse camera, and for the first time in the Mirage, automatic climate control. Standard safety features include dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
Despite its global origins, the Mirage G4 is assembled at MMPC’s 23-hectare production facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna, alongside the smaller Mirage hatchback and the L300 light commercial vehicle. This local manufacturing ensures parts availability and cost-effective servicing, highlighting Mitsubishi’s long-term commitment to the Philippine automotive industry. The facility has a maximum production capacity of 50,000 units per year.
The 2025 Mirage G4 is offered in four exterior colors: Titanium Gray Metallic, Red Metallic, Cool Silver Metallic, and White Solid, with the latter available by special order only.
Pricing for the refreshed Mirage G4 is as follows: the Mirage G4 GLX 1.2G M/T is priced at ₱793,000, the Mirage G4 GLX 1.2G CVT at ₱841,000, and the top-spec Mirage G4 GLS 1.2G CVT at ₱937,000.
