CA approves appointment of Dizon, Mallillin and Pangulayan

The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday, June 4 approved the ad interim appointments of three Cabinet officials, including Vince Dizon as secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado, who led the deliberation on his appointment as chairperson of the CA’s transportation panel, recommended Dizon’s confirmation on Tuesday.
Dizon took the helm of the DOTr last February after then transportation secretary Jaime Bautista resigned due to health reasons.
He was among the Cabinet officials asked to submit courtesy resignations in line with President Marcos’ directive.
The CA also approved the ad interim appointment of Commissioners Luis Pangulayan as Civil Service Commission (CSC), and Douglas Mallillin as Commission on Audit (COA), respectively.
Pangulayan and Mallillin will serve until February 2032.
