Motorcycle rider dies in crash with tricycle in Antipolo

A 23-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a tricycle in Barangay San Luis, Antipolo City, on Monday morning, June 2.

The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, was declared dead on the spot after sustaining head and chest injuries from the crash on Maguey Road.

First responders attempted to save the victim, but he was already unresponsive and bleeding when they arrived.

A witness said the victim was speeding, causing his motorcycle to wobble before hitting the tricycle. He also claimed that accidents frequently happen in the area due to the steep uphill and downhill road.

Meanwhile, the tricycle overturned as the driver tried to avoid the motorcycle, causing minor injuries to both the driver and passenger.

Authorities said the victim’s family did not file charges against the tricycle driver after reaching an agreement.
