Senior citizen yields P455,000 shabu in Makati sting

A 61-year-old senior citizen was caught by the police in possession of P455,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Olympia, Makati City on Monday night, June 2.
The suspect, tagged as a high-value drug personality by the Makati City Police, was identified as "Waki."
Based on the police report, a police poseur buyer was able to purchase P500 worth of shabu from the suspect, prompting the police to apprehend him following the transaction.
Waki yielded 67 grams of shabu worth P455,600 and other drug paraphernalia. He 
will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) before the Makati City Prosecutor's Office.
"This arrest is a result of the continuing intensified operations of Makati Police against illegal drugs. We are committed to taking high-value targets off our streets and ensuring the safety of our communities" Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles said.
