Alohi Robins-Hardy is expecting the Farm Fresh Foxies to select her as the third overall pick in the Premier Volleyball League draft day this weekend.

But things might not go her way if Capital1 and Galeries Tower make her the No. 1 or 2 pick among the rookies.
If that happens? Robins-Hardy said she would rather continue her career overseas than play for other clubs.
But PVL commissioner Sherwin Malonzo has set the record straight, with league rules clearly stating that a rookie must suit up for the team that drafted her as it owns the player's rights for three years.
“Sa kanya kasi like going back to the rules of the draft, kapag rookie and you got drafted, for the next three years, hawak ng team ‘yong rights mo,” said Malonzo after Tuesday’s PSA Forum which is supported by San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, MILO, Smart/PLDT, and the country’s 24/7 sports app ArenaPlus.

According to the 6-foot-1 playmaker, who missed the two-day Draft Combine over the weekend due to personal reasons, she had signed a five-year contract with Farm Fresh.
The league, however, noted that she must go through the draft process.
"We will not allow that, she can't choose the team she wants to play, she must go through the draft," said PVL president Ricky Palou.
"There are sanctions, we haven't discussed all the sanctions... once the team drafted you, you have to play for that team or you will not play at all," he added.
The Waimānalo, Hawaii native previously competed for the Cignal HD Spikers and the national team before the pandemic, and while waiting for this year’s draft she served as an assistant coach for UP’s women’s volleyball squad and Farm Fresh.
“I’m not just here to play anywhere. I came back for Farm Fresh. That’s where my heart is,” said Robins-Hardy in a statement.
