A 53-year-old taxi driver was finally nabbed by the police after hiding from the law for over a decade for the crime of carnapping on Monday, June 2, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said.

The suspect was identified as "Mario," a resident of Taytay, Rizal. He was tagged as the most wanted individual by the Cainta Municipal Police Station.
Based on the police report, Mario was arrested in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of carnapping with a recommended bail of P180,000.

However, Mario was able to elude the authorities for almost 12 years after changing his residence multiple times.
The suspect was arrested on Monday by operatives from the Cainta Municipal Police Station and Taytay Rizal Police.
Rizal PPO head Col. Felipe Maraggun said the suspect was detained at the Cainta Custodial Facility.
