Former mayor in Abra shot dead

A former mayor of Lagayan town, Abra province was gunned down in the provincial capital Bangued on Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victim as Jendricks Luna, 54.
He  was sitting in a kiosk in his home in Barangay Dangdangla when four men onboard two motorcycles arrived and shot him.
Luna, who ran for provincial board member in last month's elections but lost, sustained bullet wounds and was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and manhunt operations.
Luna was the son of former Abra Rep. Cecilia Luna.
